Services in Little River

Many of the Little River citizens are concerned with incorporation because they feel we will be paying for duplicate services or losing some of the services they have with the county. We have been told that some sort of decrease in county taxes will be given if Little River incorporates. However please tell us if in fact we will be paying for services through our incorporation or town tax that we already have in our county taxes right now. In your opinion will the establishment of Incorporation cost the people of the proposed area more tax dollars?
Also it seems that some are worried about annexation. Is there a definite move to annex Little River to North Myrtle Beach? Should we as property owners be afraid of annexation and therefore vote to incorporate.
I believe we know the answers but it would give many residents of Little River a great deal of comfort if it should come from
someone who is involved in the government of this area.
